He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Leora Marie (Vangen) and Harold Lloyd Carpenter; his wife Elaine Statema; his son Dennis Carpenter; his daughter-in-law Kim Carpenter; his stepdaughter Cynthia Kay Smith; his brother Rodney Carpenter; and his siblings-in-law, Ole Pederson and Wendy Carpenter.
He is survived by: his sisters, Judy Jordan (Tony) of Swatara, Karen Pederson of Langdon, ND, Jolene Carlson (Roger) of Longville and Nadine Kempert (Bob) of Langdon, ND; and his granddaughter Chelsea Carpenter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
