It is with sadness that the passing of Elvina Shimpa of Greenbush, Minnesota is shared. Elvina, born on March 6, 1930, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Wiskow and Edna Wiskow; her husband Louis Shimpa; her siblings, Douglas, Eugene, Mailen, Floyd Wiskow, Lorrette Walz and Lewella Jackson; and her great grandchild Shawn Hamann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Rice (Brian), Lois Wollmann (Bill) and Joyce Shimpa (Joe Schoenfelder); her grandchildren, Eric Rice (Mandy), Kristi Holm (Steve), Chad Rice (Kelly), Melinda Ives (Matt), Jeremy Wollmann (Melissa), Lisa Maliborski (Kevin) and Cody Madoll (Emily); her great grandchildren, Reed, Ryder, Cason Rice, Cody, Jaiden, Caleb, Jacob Ives, Raina, Garrett Wollmann, Kade Maliborski, Blaze Mathews and Mia Madoll; her siblings, Arnold Wiskow and Lorraine Kvien; and her close friend Junieve Lundgren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the United Free Lutheran Church (845 Old Ridge Rd, Greenbush, MN 56726). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the United Free Lutheran Church of Greenbush, MN. (845 Old Ridge Rd, Greenbush, MN 56726).
