He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burkel Sr. and Patricia Burkel (Tkachyk); his grandfather George Burkel Sr.; and his great grandchild Nathaniah Sourdif. He is survived by: his wife Donna Burkel; his children, Skylar Burkel (Alyssa), Melony Heddan (Brent) and Sonny Burkel; his grandchildren, Desirae, Alexis, Siarah, Cody and Phoenix; his great grandchildren, Wrenley, Emerson, Zephora and Zechariah; and his siblings, Robert Burkel (Debbie Moen), Donnie Burkel (Barb), Joe Burkel, Barb Blawat (Bill) and Debbie Erickson.
