“Saying the last Good bye is truly hard... There are going to be many of Wesley Pesek's dear and near ones from northern Minnesota at the funeral! Those who would meet him often. Those who know that his soul, though maybe wrapped in a hard shell, a shell of a tough, busy farmer feeding his countrymen, was the pure and golden one! “My name is Stanislav Rolinek and live thousands of miles away in the middle of Europe. At the time of the church ceremony for Wesley there will be 9 pm at my home. I will lit a candle, say a prayer, sing a song to tribute his life. I was given a chance to stay with Wesley and Marvel Pesek for a long time! Since 2001 it was some nine months, in total, under their roof.”

“During those three long-term visits it was just me who came to stay and help. In 2009 I was honored to be there along with my daughter. Those stays have changed my life! I'm thankful to Wesley for many things! That was him who gave chance to have closer look on American society. Thanks to him I've been able to learn a lot. Though we are not related by blood directly, I have lost a relative I will never forget of!”
