He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton McDermond and Rosalia McDermond (Marty); his grandson Joshua Barlett; and his brothers, Richard, Duane and Jim McDermond.
He is survived by: his significant other Joanie Haws of Sauk Centre; and his children, Kathy McDermond of St. Cloud, David McDermond of Princeton, Billy McDermond (Jenny) of Sartell, Tom McDermond (Deb) of Ramsey and Dougie McDermond of Bradenton, Florida. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Saint Joseph's Catholic Church (118 Minnesota St W, Grey Eagle, MN 56336). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
