He was predeceased by: his mother Ella Melin (Lindstrom); and his cousin Mike Melin. He is survived by: his father Wilbur Melin; his wife Grace Melin of Hallock, MN; his children, Kirsten Gjovik (Brett) of Lakeville, MN, Greg Melin (Kelly) of Trail, MN and Britt Linder of Burnsville, MN; his grandchildren, Max, Ella, Weston Gjovik, Gerald, Oliver, Emmitt Melin and Elsie Linder; his brother-in-law Jacek Mikolajczyk (Beata) of Poznan, Poland; his nephews, Witold Mikolajczyk of Poznan, Alexander Mikolajczyk (Sylvia) of Poznan and Antoni Mikolajczyk of Poznan, Poland; and his great-nieces, Lena and Loni Mikolajczyk of Poznan, Poland. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
