He was predeceased by : his sister Ione Bestland; his siblings-in-law, Virgil "Ode" Bestland, Ernie DeBoer, Henry Plaetz, Ray Goblirsch, Helen Plaetz and Veronica Goblirsch; his nephews, Lynn Bestland and Leonard Eichten; his mother-in-law Mary Plaetz; and his great grandchild Tristan Miller.
He is survived by : his child Even; his wife Louise Remiger (Plaetz); his stepchildren, Steve Remiger (Jane) of Wood Lake, MN, Margaret Remiger of Spicer, MN, Shirley Mock (Ken Oxford) of Hanley Falls, MN, Diane Rasmussen (Dennis) of Hampton, MN, Jeff Remiger (Connie) of Hanley Falls, MN, Linda Hagen (Richard) of Hanley Falls, MN, Sharon Stevens (Steve Hagen) of Hanley Falls, MN, Lisa Anderson (Clifford) of Dayton, MN and Sue Munsterman (Gene) of Mankato, MN; his sister Arlene DeBoer of Wayzata, MN; and his parents-in-law, Agnes and Stanley Eichten. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
