He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Juliette Weber. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Nelson; his father Wayne Nelson; his daughters, Shelby Hartmann (Keith) and Baylee Geiger (Brady); his grandchildren, Skye, Rhys and Croix Hartmann; his siblings, Elizabeth Eggerth (Rick), Sheila Burcham, Timothy Nelson (Kim), Patrick Nelson (Missy) and William Nelson (Rani); his father-in-law Leon Weber; and his mother Patricia Nelson (Hanson). He is also survived by siblings; and many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Lutheran Church (1515 N Garden St, New Ulm, MN 56073).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
