He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Joe" Whalen and Doris Whalen (Wernet); his brothers, Phillip Whalen and Joseph "Joey" Whalen; and his niece Chris Carolan Kemna.
He is survived by: his friend Joe Nelson.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (207 May St N, Canton, MN 55922). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
