With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austin William Shanks of Hastings, Minnesota, who passed away on July 1, 2025 at the age of 19. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jackie Shanks (Jack) and Lieng Shanks. He is survived by: his parents, Father Bart Shanks (Kristin) and Mother Michelle Shanks (Peter Jay); his sisters, Haley and Aubrey Shanks; his stepsiblings, Peyton Jay, Drew and Cameron Street; his grandparents, Glenn and Deb Lau; and his stepgrandparents, Barb Elliott (Kristin) and Steve Jay (Peter).

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel (3075 Vermillion St, Hastings, MN 55033). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel (3075 Vermillion St, Hastings, MN 55033).
