It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darvin G. Gernes of Hastings, Minnesota, born in Winona, Minnesota, who passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Gernes and Barbara Gernes; his brothers, Terry Gile and Richard Gile; his grandparents, Arnold Gernes, Helen Gernes, Paul and Charolette Kapustik; his uncle Roland Gernes; his aunts, Eileen Fabian (Emil), Joyce Gernes and Beverly Larson; and his cousins, David Gernes and Patsy Larson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Charleen Gile and Vickie Schmitt (Terry); and his cousins, Joan Fabian, Dale Fabian and Lowell Fabian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
