He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Fry and Eunice Fry (Long); and his cousin Diane Place. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Pankratz; his wife Barb Fry; his children, Joshua Fry and Nika-Marie Taylor (Steven); his grandchildren, Seth Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Cashton Taylor, Knox Taylor, Krew Taylor and Kirby Fry; his brother Tom Fry (Pam); his nephews, John Fry and Joel Fry; and his cousin Doreen Secor.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St. Philip's Lutheran Church (1401 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55033).
