He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Salzwedel and Martha Salzwedel (Hein); his brothers, Robert and Lawrence Salzwedel; and his grandson Josh Beebe.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou; and his children, Amy Gartzke (Rainer), Robert Salzwedel (Kelly) and Bill Salzwedel (Rosemary). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
