“Eileen has been part of our lives for a long time. She was a handful, but she also deeply cared. I think of her heartbreak at her losing her daughter young, her strength during that time, and her support of her son-in-law and grandchildren. I admired the way she advocated for further education for her children and grandchildren. Being so close to the holidays, I remember that time that she flew to California on Thanksgiving Day....with a frozen turkey in her luggage. Only Eileen.”
