He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kummer and Lena Kummer (Gerlach); his siblings, Harold "Bud" Kummer, Eleanor Hunter (Lawrence), Shirley Carner and Arlene Oehlke; and his daughter-in-law Stacey McKee-Kummer.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Crotteau; his children, Butch Kummer (Cindy), Kay Kummer, Gary J. Kummer and Jill Jones (Steven); his grandchildren, Michael Petefish (Jessica), Andy Petefish, Quinnlan Eck (Jonathan), Abe Kummer, Maria Goetzke (Noah) and Lily Kummer; his great grandchildren, Henry Petefish and Remington Petefish; and his sister Caroyl Reichling. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and School in memory of Gary, which can be mailed to Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in care of the Kummer Family, PO Box 275, Hastings, MN 55033.
