He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin and Eleanor (Sherry); his granddaughter Grace Ann; and his brother John. He is survived by : his wife Beverly Kochendorfer; his children, Jeanne Kasel (Jim), Michael (Sheri), Laura Berthiaume (Craig), David (Lisa), John (Kimberly) and Charlie (Missy); his grandchildren, Maria, Devon, Courtney, Lilly, Matt, Nicole, Sophia, Avery and Declan; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Kendall, Penny, Emery and Leo James; and his brothers, Paul (Maggie), Tom (Natalie) and Dan (Alberta). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:15 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2035 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55003). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery (3070 Vermillion St, Hastings, MN 55033). A burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery (2035 15th St W, Hastings, MN 55003).
