She was predeceased by: her husband William H. Osmer; her daughter Katherine H. Osmer; her parents, Anna Bertha Helena Aldrich and James "John" Aldrich; and her sisters, Nadine A. Henry and Dorothy Brundage.

She is survived by: her son William Osmer of Prescott, WI; her nieces and nephews, John Henry, James Henry, Cindy Brundage, Nora Pulley, Sharon Gaston and Bonnie Lowry; and her friend Delight Heckelman of Berlin Heights, Ohio..

JoAnn Osmer, age 89, died on January 15, 2023 from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
