He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Thomas and Verneil Thomas; his son-in-law David Hoffman; his sister Julie Zgoda; and his brothers-in-law, Dave Lobejko, John Zgoda, Jack Caudill and Scott Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Ginny; his children, Beth Johnson, Cindy Hoffman and Michael (Jenny); his grandchildren, Ian, Neila, Noah, Zoe, Annistyn, Pacey, Huck, Scout and Sailor; and his siblings, Becky Petersen, Don, Cathy Norgaard (Mike), Pat "Stumpy" Freeman (Mark), Mary Caudill, Michele Russell (Jerry), Sandy Myers and Peggy Fox (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), Hastings Family Service, or through an appointment to donate blood.A.
