With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Jean Ries of Hastings, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Lewerer and Loretta Lewerer (Fenner); and her siblings, Dennis Lewerer and Sharon Lewerer. She is survived by: her husband Joe Ries; her children, Joe Ries (Bobbi), Chicky Otte (Blake) and Pat Ries (Jenny); her grandchildren, Tony Ries (Carsyn), Stephanie Zeien (Brent), John Ries (Maddie), Katie Wardell (Michael), Tyler Otte (Kelsey), Bret Otte (Kayla), Eric Otte (Laura), Colton Ries (Jenna), Carly Ries (Dylan Bubendorf) and Cason Ries; and her brother Gary Lewerer (Rosemary). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
