She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Shellito (Bounce) and Myrtle Shellito (Ellis); her brothers, Jim Shellito and Harris Shellito; and her brother-in-law Ronald Arnold.

She is survived by: her husband Bruce Akins of Hastings; her son Todd (Kellie); her daughter-in-law Kellie; her granddaughters, Collett and Noelle of St. Paul; her siblings, Kathleen Arnold, Larry (Evonne) and Bruce Shellito (Joyce); her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Shellito and Patti Shellito; and her close friend Hank. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church in Hastings, with a LIVE broadcast on both Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel & St. Philp's Lutheran Church Facebook page starting at 11:00 a.m. Memorials preferred to St. Philip's Lutheran Church, Hastings Family Service, Carpenter's Nature Center or a charity of your choice.
