She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Thorson and Tilla Thorson (Moen); her husband Herbert Aakre; her son Calvin; and her siblings, Tilford, Charles, Lester and Gladys.

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Aakre (Verlyn) and Wayne Aakre (Mary); her daughter-in-law Tammy Aakre; her grandchildren, Stephanie Mullenbach (Ron), Ryan Aakre, Arek Aakre, Mark Aakre (Lauren) and Cameron Aakre (Amber); and her great grandchildren, Sam, Sydney, Jack Mullenbach, Porter and Laiken Aakre. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Northern Lights Assisted Living, Viking Manor, HIA Hospice, or Solem Lutheran Church.
