With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David L. Flaten of Hawley, Minnesota, born in Barnesville, Minnesota, who passed away on November 13, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Flaten and Evelyn Flaten (Hanson); his brothers, Herbert (Eunice), Orvin and Ernie (Arlene); and his son-in-law Mark Walstrom.
He is survived by : his wife Aline Nichols; his children, DarNell (Deanna) and DeNett Walstrom; his grandchildren, Luke (Amanda), Travis (Stephanie), Andrew (Tasha), David, Destiny and Dalton; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Tucker, Westyn, Lily, Chloe, Wyatt, Ike and Hank; and his sister-in-law Diana Flaten. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
