She was predeceased by: her parents, William Garbisch and Selma Garbisch (Wollenburg); her husband Wilmer Schlichting; her siblings, Gilbert Garbisch, Frances Schlichting and Anona Koehler; and her daughter-in-law Liz.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Schlichting (Cynthia), Richard Schlichting (Patrick Orton), Joan Schlichting and Dale Schlichting (Jane); her grandchildren, Tess Lucas (Jon), Nicole Schlicthing and Alex Schlichting (Brandi); and her great grandchildren, Ella, Leah and Aspen Hazel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
