We bid farewell to Richard Verlyn Hyland of Hayfield, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 18, 2025 at the age of 95. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Obert Hyland and Alma Hyland (Jensen); his wife Donna May Koster; his son-in-law Larry Weinmann; and his siblings, Ordean Hyland, Elna Senjem, Opal Evjen, Sherman Hyland, Stan Hyland, Lorraine Hart, Robert Hyland and Charlotte Higgins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra O'Connor (John) and Roxanne Weinmann; his grandchildren, Jeremy Mott (Analia), Amber Bolles (Jeremy), Haley Mork (Dave), Colin O'Connor (Sara) and Garret O'Connor (Hannah); and his great grandchildren, Landen, Mason Bolles, Ellie, Anna, Berit Mork, Joy, Liliana and Sophia O'Connor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fieldcrest Nursing Home or Trinity Lutheran Church.
