It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael David Hansen of Hayward, Minnesota, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hansen and Sharlene Hansen (Ellison); and his grandparents, Mildred Price, Colette and Virtus Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie of Hayward; his daughters, Julie Wells (Gary) of Albert Lea and Janet Hansen of Coon Rapids; his grandchildren, Sarah Hansen of Hayward, Cody St. John of Albert Lea, Carla Garcia of Owatonna and Dawson Youngberg of Askov, Minnesota; his great grandchildren, Avery, Jayce and Benson; and his brothers, Craig Hansen of Austin, Bret Hansen (Mari) of Owatonna, Bart Hansen (Hope) of Waterville and Wade Hansen of Owatonna. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
