He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Knofczynski and Pauline Knofczynski (Chlopkowiak); his brother Patrick Knofczynski; his niece Melanie; his sister Carole Jordan; and his brothers-in-law, Arnold Kompelien and Ray Jordan.

He is survived by: his siblings, Norbert Knofczynski and Marcia Kompelien; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Fridrich (Greg), Cody (Shelby), Tyler, Jodi Christensen, Austin (Hannah), Audie, Annie, Adam (Abby), Shelby (Josh Athey), Kelly Whitesitt (Travis), Avery, Charles, Sarah Anderson (Tim), Jordan (Olivia), Emma, Madi Mernaugh, Tony Knofczynski and Michelle Knofczynski.
