We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2021, at the age of 76, Lawrence Wirtjes of Herman, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Viola Wirtjes (Brown) and Albert Wirtjes; his close friend Mike; his siblings, Archie Wirtjes, Arnold Wirtjes, Arlene Rowett (Wirtjes) and Dorothy Mauch (Wirtjes); his sons, Stacy Wirtjes (Heidi) of Watertown, SD and Lane Wirtjes (Arrin) of Willow Lake, SD; his brothers, Donald Wirtjes (Peggy) of Indiana, Triston (Laike), Blake (Sarah), Connor (McKenzie), Braeden, Masyn and Drake; and his granddaughter Charlee. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Larry and my brother, Dean Sheets, shared many laughs and happy times together. I never met Larry, but I enjoyed a lot of Dean's stories about their exploits. They were good buddies and I liked Larry "secondhand" for his close friendship with Dean, who has also passed on. Now that they're both gone, I think of them together again in another time and space.
