He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Malec and Peggy Malec; his wife Donna Malec; his parents-in-law, Robert and Lillian Ulshafer; his brothers, Jim Malec (Maynard), Chuck Malec and Carey Malec; his in-laws, Gary, Judy Burns, Milton, Roberta Zebott, Cindy Ulshafer and Finley Stalvig; and his nephews, Sean Malec and Shawn Burr.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Malec and Kara Clark (Bob); his siblings, Pat Stephenson (Pete), Jason Malec (Terri) and Jayne Lowry (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Malec, Mike Ulshafer and Daryl Ulshafer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends.
