With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Irene Coleman Sanders (Hermantown, Minnesota), born in Dinwiddie, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Irene left this world on May 13, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her spouse Airman Edward C Sanders Sr. of New Kensington; and her siblings, Mary, Lucille, Mattie, Wesley, Nelson and James.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara McReynolds (William) of Surprise, AZ, Edward Sanders (Sophia) of Eagan, MN and Lyndia Sanders of Surprise, AZ; and her siblings, Diana Kelly of Flint, MI, Lynnea Bailey of Atlanta, GA and Michael Coleman (Theresa) of Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunrise Funeral Home (4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN 55811). An entombment will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to the Wickenburg Breast Cancer Network, Inc. (WBCN) cancer survivor walk she did annually with her team Irene's Incredible Inspiration.
