He is survived by: his wife Brenda (Whiting) of Hoffman; his daughters, Kara Olson Fairchild (Brian) of Minnetrista and Alyssa Ruis (Gregory) of Rogers; his grandchildren, Vera Ruis, Sully Ruis, Asher Donn Fairchild and Leland Fairchild; and his siblings, Dennis Olson, Kathryn Wollschlager, Carol Olson, Barbara Moore and Keith Olson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (502 Kentucky Ave, Hoffman, MN 56339). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
