He was predeceased by: his parent Marion Jane Schliep (Tofte); his uncle Virgil; his father Stanley Schliep; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Helen Werk; his siblings-in-law, Al and Michelle Werk; his niece-in-law Misty Gustafson; and his nephew-in-law Alden Elliott.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Kay Werk of Holloway; his children, Douglas Schliep (Alicia) of Holloway, Daniel Schliep of Holloway and Janelle Schliep of Lakeville; his grandchildren, Jacob, Emma and Isaac Schliep; his siblings, Cheryl Gustafson (Tom) of Hutchinson, MN, Marilyn Gallagher (Dennis) of Valdese, NC and Stanton Schliep (Jennifer) of Blair, WI; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Werk (Diane), Bob Werk (Phyllis) and Tom Werk (Lorie). He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, and several other relatives and friends.
