He is survived by: his mother Maggie Bowens Freeman; his wife Roseline Ojo; his stepfather Roosevelt Freeman; his sons, Derrick Bowen, Aaron Bowen and Kalean Lee; his sister Gnoria R. Bowens; his sister-in-law Loya Bowens (Vernishia Kareema Ali-Bowens); his cousin Lynn Bowens Pearson; his grandchildren, Yarieah Bowens, Aaron Bowens Jr., Ahmad Bowens and Arianna Ahmir Bowens; his close friend Dawn Collins; and his godchildren, Charles Jackson and Madison Collins. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
