He is survived by: his wife Audrey Schmid; his stepchildren, Melvin Schmid (Donnale) and Sharon Stienborn; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lofton, Carol Anderson and Cindy Laymon; and his niece Debra Chinander (Chris). He is also survived by 18 step-grandchildren, other nieces and nephews.
