He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby P. Nelson and Rev. Ralph A. Nelson; his brother Rev. Hubert Nelson; and his grandson Wyatt M. Olig. He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Nelson; his children, Randal S. Nelson (Pam), Susan K. Nelson, Katherine S. Olig (Chris) and Robert S. Nelson; his stepchildren, Tammy Wyche, Rick Nelson (Kim) and Craig Nelson (April); and his siblings, Celeste Gibson (Jim) and Rev. Victor Nelson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
