He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Johnson and Olga Johnson (Hostvet); his siblings, Lynden Johnson (Erma) and Doris George (Donald); his parents-in-law, Sidney and Emma Todd; his siblings-in-law, Howard Todd (Donna) and Mavis Vitse (Irving); and his nephews-in-law, Alan Vitse, Donald Beach and Larry Dahle.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his nieces and nephews, Mary Dahle, Ilamae Beach, Lennis Johnson (Randi), James George (Julie), Elizabeth George (Steve Sanden) and Anne George; his great-nephew Benjamin George (Angela); and his great-niece Lynette Gray (Matt).
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service (710 E Cedar St, Houston, MN 55943). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
