He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Averill and Eava Averill; his wife Barbara; and his siblings, Darlene'Dolly' Joslyn (Darwin Sr.), Ted, Ernie, Bob (Ilse), Roy (Grace), Chuck and Mike Averill.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Shirley Kindsvatter (Rick) of Great Falls and Gladys Averill of International Falls; and his nephew Darwin Joslyn Jr. (Julie). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
