He was predeceased by: his wife Sherry "Cookie"; his parents, Nels Johnson and Ecco Johnson; and his siblings, Jack, Sue and Jana.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy James (Brian), Bruce Johnson (Pam), Dean Johnson (Katie) and Christopher Johnson (Tanya). He is also survived by 4 sisters, 1 brother, 8 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
