He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Linkert and Helen Linkert; his wife Marlys Lorraine Linkert; his siblings, Louise Leidner, Bud Linkert, Don Linkert and Jean Linkert; his son-in-law Troy Pittman; and his in-laws, Jerry Leidner, Jan Linkert, Alvin, Pheobe Lundell, Leslie Lundell, Myron Lundell, Merlin Lundell, Maxine, Roger Leen and Rosella Ozmun.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Linkert (Anne), Sandra Linkert-Pittman, Susan Edman (Chris) and Ann Linkert-Korhonen (Paul); his grandchildren, Melissa Linkert, Benjamin Linkert (Sarah), Jason Edman, Alex Mason-Babcock (Hailey), Amanda Lawshea (Isaac), Joshua Edman, Matthew Babcock and Hannah Edman; and his stepgrandchildren, Joe Korhonen (Amanda), Melissa Korhonen (Dave) and Zak Korhonen. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the White Funeral Home (20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville, MN 55044). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the same location.
