He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Zimny and Marcella Zimny; his wife Barbara; his siblings, Therese, Joan, Kathy and Joe; his brothers-in-law, Simon Haefner and Dick Wolfe; and his parents-in-law, Clayton and Leona.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Spears (Mike) of Apple Valley, MN, Tristan, Braydan and Ariella; his sisters, Rita Born (Dave) of Waseca, MN and Berny Wolff (Zimny) of Belle Plain, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy, Tom Sommerstad of Hastings, MN, Deloris, Leo Holicky of LeCenter, MN and Lori Zimny of Sparta, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Casimir Catholic Church (320 2nd Ave SW, Wells, MN 56097). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
