He is survived by: his wife Lois Metcalf; his children, Sarah Nowland (Russell) of Braham, MN and Matthew Handel (Milagros) of Wahiawa, HI; and his siblings, Harold Handel of Duluth, MN and Marlene Scott (Steve) of Floodwood, MN. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
