He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Semler and Celia Semler (Naylor); his wife Carol Quist; and his siblings, Fred, Lawrence, George Semler and Mary Burton.
He is survived by : his children, Joe Semler Jr. (Becky) of Isanti, Pete Semler (Patty) of Oak Grove and Peggy Smith (Kurt) of Alaska. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
