He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Michael Sommerland (Holly), Kevin Sommerland (Kimberly) and Brent Sommerland; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Sommerland, Havanna Sommerland, Taylor Hoyer (Jacob), Shelden Sommerland and Brenna Sommerland; his great grandchildren, Mia, Anthony, Adelaide and Julian; and his sister Carol Kolander (Harlow). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
