We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2025, at the age of 90, Delano D. Helmers of Jackson, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Delano has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Helmers and Jenny Helmers; his grandson Jesse Schlager; and his sisters, Beverly Boell and Janet Knudson.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Helmers; his children, Terry Helmers (Nancy), Tim Helmers (Maureen), Brenda Schlager (Rick) and Rhonda Knight (Jeff); and his sister-in-law Margie Frederickson. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (311 N Sverdrup Ave, Jackson, MN 56143).
