She was predeceased by : her parents, Ray Cook (W. R.) and Selma Marie (Peterson); her husband Dana, Jr.; and her brother Elwood. She is survived by : her son Dana Wayne; her daughter-in-law Ann; her granddaughters, Tanya Cramer (Jon) and Christina Zimmerli Libertini (Adrian); and her son Matthias.

“Dana & Ann- Your mom is an inspiration to us. I will never forget their unconditional support when we served as pastor. We got connected to Red Bird because of Dana & Dorothy. They were always willing to serve in any capacity and championed new ideas, even when they might not have whole heartedly believed them. I suspect she wrote the bulk of her obituary-so Dorothy.
