It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Place of Jackson, Minnesota, born in Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Harlan Place and Evonne Place (Lev); his son Jason Place (Mother Evonne Place) of Worthington; and his siblings, Greg Place (Gayla) of Spirit Lake, Todd Place (Becky) of Lakefield, Lisa Place (Michelle) of Spirit Lake and Randy Place. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and great friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred, to purchase a bench to place on the Jackson Walking Path in Doug's Honor, and also to the Ronald McDonald House.
