With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger J. Schmit of Jackson, Minnesota, who passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Schmit and Phyllis Schmit (Lienen); his sisters, Dianne Hoffman, Janice Green and Mary Skiorski; his brothers-in-law, Ray Hoffman, Richard Lysne, Dale Hubrig and Allen Meyer; his godson Steve Schmit; and his great grandchild Catherine Shirley Wallert.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Hubrig); his children, Rhonda Lee (Chuck) of Sioux Falls, SD and Randy Schmit of Apple Valley; his great grandchildren, Evan Cummings (Madelyn) of Adrian, Erin Cummings (Wesley) of Sioux Falls, SD, Erika Wallert (William) and CJ Lee; his siblings, Dan Schmit (Jan), Dave Schmit (Mayre), Rita Schmit and Delores Lysne; and his sister-in-law Sharon Meyer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
