It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Fritz Guse of Janesville, Minnesota, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Guse and Hattie Guse (Gahler); his wife Mavis Wilking of Paul's Lutheran Church; and his siblings, Ruth Schoenfeld, Clarence Guse, Lyle Guse, Vera Stolt and Nora Gille.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Rossiter (Denny), Sharon Krassin (Steve), Janine Schubert (Tom) and Kevin Guse; his grandchildren, Craig Rossiter (Melissa), Ryan Rossiter, Jared Krassin (Genevieve), Jenna Hansen (Austin), Britta Peterson (Kyle), Brandon Schubert (Emily), Mattea Schubert (Kobie Koenig), Lynsey Ploenzke (Brandon) and Chad Guse; his great grandchildren, Harvey Rossiter, Waylon Krassin, Landon and Graham Ploenzke; his siblings, Paul Guse, Carl Guse, Marvin Guse (Kathy), Lila Karrer (Dick), Ruby Isebrand (Dave) and Grace Guse; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Guse and Paulette Guse.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (412 N Main St, Janesville, MN 56048). A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the St. John's Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
