She was predeceased by: her parents, William DeReu and Gertrude DeReu (Roelandt); her husband Robert Powell; her son Robert (Doc); her granddaughter Alicia Vos; and her brother Edward.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Waldeisen (Bob) of Gretna, NE, Mark Powell (Connie) of Lake Poinsett, SD, Michael Powell (DeVonne) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jolene Knutson (Mark) of Sioux Falls, Barbara Powell (Wally) of Aurora, SD, Thomas Powell (Elisa) of Tomah, WI, Lisa Willert (Lonnie) of Lake Benton and Michelle Bigford (Bobby) of Viola, IL; her daughter-in-law Diann Powell of Lake Benton; and her siblings, John DeReu (Joy) of Kalispell, MT and Janice Riekman of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
