He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Bengtson and Dolores Bengtson (Prohl). He is survived by: his wife Laurie James; his children, Nick Bengtson (Karen) of Jordan, Michael Bengtson (Kayla) of Mayer, Marissa Schultz (Travis) of Wasilla, AK and Joseph Bengtson (Kelsey) of Norwood; his grandchildren, Shiren, Hope, Noah, Leah, Lexi, McKinley, Addisyn, Bella, Kailyn, Emma and Evelyn; and his siblings, Linda Hellreigel (David) of Carver, Karen Richardson (Jerry) of Eagan and James Bengtson (Sandy) of Cologne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to East Union Cemetery Fund or St. Jude's.
Gary was born July 22, 1956 in Shakopee, MN, to Gordon and Dolores (Prohl) Bengtson, one of four children.
