He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Scheldberg and Charlotte Scheldberg (Hanson); his wife Nancy Scheldberg (Oestreich); and his brother Harold Scheldberg. He is survived by: his children, Heidi Scheldberg (Oscar Sanchez), Scott Scheldberg (Lynzie) and John Scheldberg (Katy); his grandchildren, Macy, Ellie, Kaylee and Jacob; and his stepgrandchildren, Cathren, Evelyn and Madison. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 1st St W, Jordan, MN 55352). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
